Abdullah H. Hijazi is the founding partner of Hijazi & CarrolL. He possesses over a decade of experience assisting clients with zoning and development matters, complex real estate issues, construction litigation, probate matters, and other civil litigation issues. Abdullah has secured numerous large settlements and awards on behalf of real estate investors, contractors, and private owners. He has also guided real estate owners with the purchase, sale, leasing, subdivision, and development of many properties in Maryland and the District of Columbia.


Abdullah has extensive experience in a range of real estate matters. Before founding the firm, he previously worked for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, a zoning law firm, a civil engineering company, a construction and government contracts litigation firm, and a title company. These previous careers allowed him to gain a unique and broad background in real estate, construction, and zoning matters. Abdullah’s experience includes closing eight figure real estate transactions and successfully litigating and arbitrating numerous real estate and construction matters, including one construction dispute with over 40 million dollars in claims.


Abdullah’s community and pro bono work include helping three community and civic associations successfully oppose proposed marijuana dispensaries that were trying to open too close to homes, places of worship, daycares, and schools. Furthermore, he has assisted several refugees and asylees obtain residency and citizenship in the U.S.
